Develop an over all moving plan – I will design a moving plan based on our initial meeting and what services you decide you need.  You may have family or friends that want to help you so you only pay for the service you need.  Our experience shows that sometime plans change so we can accommodate you and readjust your plan as we move along the process.  You will receive a written estimate including the hours we believe it will take to accomplish everything so you only pay for the hours it takes to complete your move.  This puts you in control of the actual cost of your move.
As a senior move manager & Realtor  I can handle your entire move from selling your current residence to  selecting a mover,  selling your treasures on e-bay shipping items to relatives and packing and putting the final touches on your new home.  Because I am a realtor who specializes in working with seniors, I have the experience, knowledge and resources to help you with everything related to your move.


Organizing and sorting through household items to downsize – I will help you downsize so that you bring what you love and need.  This is most important so that you only move the furniture, clothes and such that will fit.  Taking the time to do this will save you time and money in the long run!


Customized floor plansI will take measurements of your new home and your furniture then design your floor plan so that you know everything will fit!  This will also make it easy on move day so that the movers will know where to place key pieces of furniture.  This is another way to save you time & money.


Arranging for Selling, Consignment & Donation of unwanted itemsI will help you decide who is best to handle the sale or consignment of saleable furniture, artwork and other treasures and will arrange for pick up of items that will be donated or discarded. I can connect you with an experienced e-bay seller if you have unique items that are best sold on-line.


Interviewing, scheduling and overseeing movers I have experience working with a variety of local and long distance movers so I’ll help you decide which one is best for your move. On move day I will oversee the loading of the truck and then will be at your new place when they arrive to unload.  Some communities require certain protocol on where the mover can park and what elevators they may use…I can handle all the details for you!   You may also want to ship items to family and I can arrange for that too.

Professional packing & unpacking I will arrive w/ my moving assistants and all the cartons & packing material we will need to pack your household.  I will supervise all the packing to make sure your items arrive safely and will make sure items are put in the right place.  All cartons & packing materials will be removed at the end of the day and will be reused or recycled.

Home Settling In –At the end of unpack day all rooms & closets will be arranged, your kitchen will be set up to your liking, all electronics and computers will be connected and your art work will be hung!  We will have discussed where you want things to go before hand so that you can spend time with your family or friends.  Most movers do not do un packing, this is what sets us apart!

    I have been a Realtor in San Diego since 1991 and I am a SRES – Senior Real Estate Specialist

    I enjoy working with and understand the needs of older adults.   For some this may be your greatest asset so I will handle your real estate transaction as it were my home or the home of a parent.

    Having me as your Realtor will also help streamline the moving process and communication of everybody involved.  I can assist you with the sale, purchase or lease of a property I or will refer you to a Realtor who can help you.

My experience as a professional home stager will also come in handy when it’s time to put the finishing touches on your new home.  Plus my affiliation w/ a national home staging network allows me to offer my clients substantial discounts from retailers and home service providers!  Pier-one, Lowes and Sears…just to name a few.

 

Why downsize?


If you are moving, you will only want to move the things you you love and need. 

Most often your space will be smaller so you will have to decide what to keep and will have to part with the rest.  

Bringing too much "stuff" will not fit comfortably in your new home and may not be safe for you.
